Easigas Success Stories

“In 2014, I successfully completed my matriculation but faced financial constraints that prevented me from pursuing my dream of studying law. Over the next two years, I diligently searched for employment or a suitable learnership opportunity without any luck. In August 2016, I decided to actively seek employment, and fate led me to EASIGAS, where I was fortunate to be granted the opportunity to participate in an Unemployment learnership program that lasted for a year. This learnership focused on studying Freight handling in logistics of dangerous goods at NQF level 3. During this program, I spent three weeks at the workplace, gaining hands-on experience by rotating through various departments. Additionally, I spent one week at NOSA Logistics to further enhance my knowledge.

Throughout 2017, I contributed to the Technical department by assisting with various tasks, including filing and Reception duties. By the end of 2018, I had gained valuable insights into the company and its products. Recognising my potential, EASIGAS offered me another opportunity to further my education, building on my success from the initial learnership in 2016. I pursued studies in Project Management at NQF Level 4, and this education provided me with an even deeper understanding of the Metal and Inventory department, where I assumed more significant responsibilities. I dedicated myself to the Image warehouse for the bulk team, continually embracing opportunities to strengthen my skills and secure a better future. In 2019, EASIGAS rewarded my dedication by offering me a permanent position as a Metal Assistant. My responsibilities include handling transportation, revalidation processes, and managing the creation of purchase orders (POs) and packing instruction jobs (PIJs).

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to every member of the EASIGAS team who believed in me. A special thanks goes to the HR department for paving the way for me to craft a promising future.
